Brides: Cost saving tips

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

The current edition of local Brides Magazine features our cakes in a very interesting cost story.  We made two cakes with the same colors and same shape, but for different budgets.  The price per slice really depends on the techniques used and the amount of labor involved.  Hand-made sugar flowers, intricate cut-outs, and poured sugar details are among the highlighted factors that will increase the costs.

Check out the story to find out ways to save money when ordering your wedding cake.  Ours are the purple and lavender cakes  :)

Here's a close-up of the details on the embossed sugar ribbon cake:

You can increase the viewing size by clicking on the percentage in the bottom right corner. Click on the article page, and then increase to 275%. It will be fuzzy, but readable. Exit that page and click on the next one. The size will stay until you reduce it back down.
HTH!
